Perfume Playing Cards
This was an experiment with unique ways of cataloging. One of the first distinctive ways of marketing perfume or cologne was to soak playing cards in the scent and give them away. This was the inspiration for using playing cards. The logo that is on the box and the back of the cards was developed by layering the letters that spell ‘perfume.’ I began the process of designing the cards by tracing the bottle designs of the different perfumes and digitizing them. Then I created line art to picture one of the top notes of the perfume. Then played with visual hierarchy for the text.
