About
My Design
Teetering the line between fine art and applied or commercial art, design can be an expression of personal design while also informational. My favorite is when these two intersect. Graphic design takes into consideration every letter, shape, symbol, period, etc. to create a visually pleasing and clear expression of information. This is what I consider as I design. I work to make every mark intentional and purposeful to best capture the clients' mission, aesthetic, and vision.
My Education
I am Sydney Cook. I am a student at East Carolina University majoring in Graphic Design with a certificate in Entrepreneurship. In the Fall of 2022, I spent an unbelievable semester abroad in Bulgaria at the American University in Bulgaria where I studied visual communication and the history of film. My Mission
Design is the vehicle in that information is dispersed to the world. I hope my future career and designs will have a positive impact on people. For example, a research project I work on, Soul FOOD (contact me for further information), where I can use my designs to help people learn how to live a healthy life. My ultimate goal is that my designs will not only be advantageous to a company growing its customer base but also in dispersing vital information beneficial to humanity.
